Scientific publisher World Scientific Publishing Company (WSPC), Singapore, and Imperial College Press (ICP) have announced the launch of several new journals in 2009. It was also announced that some journals will publish more issues in 2009 due to an increase of accepted papers.
Journals scheduled for launch in 2009 include Advances in Environmental Research and Development; Asia Pacific Journal of Climate Change; Confluentes Mathematici; Journal Of Topology And Analysis; Middle East Development Journal and Int'l Journal of Applied Mechanics. The Int'l Journal of Mathematics will increase from 10 to 12 issues. While Modern Physics Letters B will increase its issues from 30 to 32, Int'l Journal of Quantum Information will increase from six to eight issues. Other journals that will publish more issues in 2009 include Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences and Singapore Economic Review.
WSPC and ICP are also taking over the Journal of Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines (JPP), the official journal of the Society of Porphyrins and Phthalocyanines (SPP). Launched in 1995, JPP covers all aspects of porphyrins, phthalocyanines and structurally related materials research.
Libraries can subscribe to these journals directly or through their preferred subscription agents. Nearly all WSPC and ICP journals are available electronically, and libraries can choose to subscribe to either print and electronic or electronic only versions. Archives of content published prior to 2001 are available separately.
