Within the search ecosystem, text analytics can be used for search log analysis. An approach would be to take the output from the search logs, delete all the information barring the search phrase, and enter it into a text analytics tool. An analyst then can leverage a variety of statistical word and clustering techniques, and provide a view of the terms clustered together. Furthermore, many tools can convert the results of the text analytics done on the search logs and offer a visual representation. The visual representation can be shown to the stakeholders to get their commitment to using text analytics to drive search improvement, and website or internal document processing projects.
