The Green Digital Finance Alliance and the Swiss Green Fintech Network, with support from the Swiss State Secretariat for International Finance (SIF), launched the Green Fintech Classification.
The Green Fintech Classification is the first of its kind in the world. Its role is to further mature and stimulate the green fintech market. The Green Fintech Classification would enable policymakers, investors, and market actors to harmonize their approach to analyzing and segmenting green fintech markets. It would also further the understanding of green fintech markets and encourage innovation and adoption.
Given how quickly the fintech market is evolving, the Green Fintech Classification is the need of the hour. It constitutes a clear classification of green fintech that will continue to grow over time.
