(lib.polyu.edu.hk): This presentation by Choy Fatt Cheong discusses the key factors that are essential to lead users to use library resources, services and facilities. Key changes in the information and learning environment have gradually eroded the library as a premier institution in access to information and knowledge even though it remains a unique institution that dedicates itself to the improvement of peoples’ lives through access to accumulated knowledge. Before we consider how to increase users’ interaction with and use of library services, it would be useful to highlight the key changes in the environment and user behaviour which lead to this consideration.
