Publishing company IGI Global, US, has announced a new, non-exclusive partnership with Blackwell Corporation, a supplier of books and bibliographic support to academic and research libraries. The new agreement is projected to assist libraries in their acquisition of IGI Global's InfoSci-Books collection, containing thousands of full-text IT book chapters.
Libraries interested in subscribing to InfoSci-Books can now contact Blackwell's customer service to set-up a free 30-day trial, process orders, or find out more information. New subscribers have the option of purchasing the database directly from IGI Global or through Blackwell.
In 2007, IGI Global launched InfoSci-Books, a fully searchable database providing access to chapters from every book and reference work IGI Global has published since 2000. Features include precise search and retrieval of chapter-level abstracts and indexing; continual updates before books go to print; and interdisciplinary research on an array of fields impacted by information technology such as artificial intelligence, e-commerce, distance learning, biomedicine and healthcare information and management systems.
