The National Library of New Zealand Selects Primo from Ex Libris -

Ex Libris Asia Pacific has announced that the National Library of New Zealand has chosen to expand its suite of Ex Libris products with the Primo solution, which will provide users with a unified interface for the discovery and delivery of the library's vast collections. The National Library of New Zealand is the fifth national library to join the rapidly growing international Primo community, which now includes more than 150 institutions.

In addition to Primo's interoperability with the Library's existing systems, the product's open interfaces, which enable institutions to develop unique extensions to meet their specific needs, were key to the National Library's choice of Primo.

Primo is claimed to be a one-stop solution for the discovery and delivery of local and remote resources, such as books, journal articles and digital objects. It assists libraries in fully utilising their collections and offering users an up-to-date discovery and delivery experience. Primo services can be embedded in commonly used applications such as course management systems and institutional portals, helping library serve users wherever they are.
