Educational publisher Jones and Bartlett Publishers, Inc. (J&B), US, has announced the acquisition of Sleep Ed, LLC, a publisher of references for sleep technicians and professionals as well as respiratory care students.
Essentials of Polysomnography, a textbook recently published Sleep Ed, claims to be the only textbook in the market to contain the new 2007 American Academy of Sleep Medicine scoring rules as well as the latest sleep disorder categorisations. Designed for training sleep technicians and preparing them for the RPSGT certification exam, it has been accepted as the primary text for many college and university based sleep programmes and contains useful information for sleep technicians, registered sleep technologists, physicians, sleep lab managers, DME reps, and sleep lab front office staff members.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
