Wiley-Blackwell announces enhanced partnership with COPE -

Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., US, has announced an enhanced partnership with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). More than 1,300 journals, the full collection of scientific, technical, medical and scholarly journals published by Wiley-Blackwell (http://interscience.wiley.com), will now benefit from COPE membership, thus providing all editors and societies with the opportunity to share in COPE's expertise in this area.

Editors from Wiley-Blackwell can benefit from attending the COPE meetings, scheduled every three months, to discuss complex ethical problems which have arisen during the publication process. They will also have access to other editors, their peers, to examine cases of publishing misconduct. In addition, they will be able to use the information and educational services that COPE is developing.

COPE is a forum for editors of peer-reviewed journals to discuss issues related to the integrity of the scientific record. The committee supports and encourages editors to report, catalogue and instigate investigations into ethical problems in the publication process.
