Educational publisher Jones and Bartlett Publishers, Inc. (J&B), US, has announced the acquisition of Tarascon Publishing, a leading publisher of portable medical reference products. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Tarascon is the third medical publishing company acquired by J&B in 2008. Earlier this year, it acquired Physicians' Press, an innovative medical publishing company, specialising in books and other resources in the fields of cardiovascular medicine, infectious disease, diabetes, and other clinical specialties. In March, the company announced the acquisition of Compact Clinicals, a leading publisher of psychiatry, psychology, and mental health educational materials and assessment scales.
