STM publisher Springer, Germany, has signed a co-publishing agreement with the Metrology Society of India (MSI) for one of the latter's prestigious publication MAPAN - Journal Metrology Society of India. The society plays a vital role in the technological, industrial and economic development of the country.
A quarterly publication, MAPAN - Journal Metrology Society of India is exclusively devoted to Metrology (scientific, industrial or legal). MSI invites the submission of research communications or technical articles on topics of current interest. Original work, tutorials and survey papers, which contribute to new knowledge or understanding of any metrology principle, method or technique, are also welcome.
Springer will ensure the speedy publication of important articles in the field by using a manuscript tracking system in the journal editorial office. Articles will be published in Online First, in full text via Springer's electronic platform, SpringerLink. The journal will include Cross Reference Linking, alert services, and Online First, a feature by which articles are published online before they appear in print. Springer will also implement the online author submission system, Editorial Manager. This system allows the peer-review process to be handled faster, resulting in the speedy publication of the articles.
