Elsevier selects FatWire's WEM solutions to automate web content management process -

Web experience management solutions provider FatWire Software, US, has announced that its Web Experience Management (WEM) solutions have been selected by STM publisher Elsevier to ensure brand consistency across its web presence, and to build a community around its products and services online.

The Elsevier team required an easy-to-use, scalable Web Content Management (WCM) solution with web 2.0 collaboration, personalisation and community capabilities in order to deliver a better service to its customers, and to strengthen its customer relationships and brand awareness using the web. Elsevier's charter is to deliver world-class information and innovative tools to researchers, students, educators and practitioners worldwide. The web is a primary channel for effectively delivering these services, including a broad range of research, publications, and courseware. The publisher also wanted the ability to recommend new purchases to site visitors based on their viewing and buying patterns, in order to increase the relevance of their site and to drive additional sales.

FatWire Content Server was chosen to automate Elsevier's entire WCM process including content authoring, site design, content publishing, targeted marketing, site analytics and user participation. With FatWire Content Server, the publisher can build a community by quickly implementing web 2.0 features that facilitate user interaction and also create a consistent brand identity online.
