STM publisher Springer, Germany, has announced that SpringerLink has partnered with CiteULike, the social bookmarking website for researchers. SpringerLink is claimed to be one of the world's largest scientific databases. The deal seeks to ensure that researchers using SpringerLink will benefit from reference management services.
With millions of tagged references CiteULike is a social bookmarking service for scientific researchers. The website was created to promote and develop the sharing of scientific references among researchers.
Researchers will now have the option of extracting bibliographic references from over 50 scientific sources with one click. This will allow them to capture and store a reference to a scientific article or chapter, add their own tags and ratings to that resource, share the resource with their peers via group libraries, and even export those libraries in various citation formats.
