STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, has announced a publishing partnership with the International Association for Great Lakes Research (IAGLR), representing 1000 members worldwide. Under the deal, the global publisher will assume publication of the Journal of Great Lakes Research, starting in January 2009.
A quarterly publication, the Journal of Great Lakes Research is the official journal of IAGLR. The journal publishes research papers, reviews, and technical notes advancing knowledge and promoting a better understanding of large lakes of the world and their watersheds. Special issues, focused on particular topics are also published on a regular basis.
The aim of this collaboration is to further the development and influence of the journal, by expanding its global reach and increasing its visibility, also through the availability of the journal on Elsevier's online scientific research platform, ScienceDirect.
