E-research and educational publisher Gale, part of Cengage Learning, US, has announced a partnership with Infobase Publishing. Under the deal, Gale will distribute select titles from the latter’s eBook collection through Gale Virtual Reference Library, Gale’s eBook platform providing access to thousands of authoritative reference works.
This partnership allows libraries to provide access to popular eBooks from Facts On File and Ferguson Publishing along with more than 4,500 existing electronic reference titles from over 80 publishers, all through a single source, expanding the library’s offerings while avoiding duplicated resources. More than 250 eBooks have been chosen primarily from the Facts On File and Ferguson Publishing imprints at the middle school level and above, including titles in the areas of careers, teen health and issues, global warming and science.
Additionally, a library’s Gale Virtual Reference Library eBook collection is cross-searchable with its other Gale resources, including many periodical solutions and resource centers.
