Enterprise technology and innovative solutions provider Blackboard Inc, US, and the American Council on Education (ACE) have announced a renewed partnership and a $700,000 in-kind gift from Blackboard to support the ACE Fellows Program, which prepares senior leaders to serve colleges and universities nationwide.
Through this gift, Blackboard makes its learning management, Web conferencing and mobile learning solutions available to the ACE Fellows Program. The technology will enable greater communication between ACE Fellows and program instructors, enable collaboration with higher education leaders around the world, and provide a central location for program logistics, assignments, resources and online discussions.
The ACE Fellows Program, established in 1965, is designed to strengthen institutions and leadership in American higher education by identifying and preparing emerging campus leaders for responsible positions in college and university administration. Blackboard and ACE first partnered to support the programme in 2003.
