STM publisher Springer will publish the research journal Computational & Applied Mathematics, a primary scientific publication of the Brazilian Society of Computational and Applied Mathematics (SBMAC), starting in 2013. Published three times a year, the journal will be available electronically on link.springer.com and in print.
Founded in 1981, Computational & Applied Mathematics publishes original research in applied and computational mathematics with interfaces to physics, engineering, chemistry, biology, operations research, statistics, social sciences and economy. The journal maintains high standards of scientific research and publishes top-rank contributions in terms of originality, depth and relevance to computational and applied mathematics.
Jose Eduardo Souza de Cursi of INSA-Rouen in France serves as the editor-in-chief of the journal.
