Texas A&M University-San Antonio selects Ingram's VitalSource for integrated e-Textbook delivery -

Vital Source Technologies, Inc., part of Ingram Content Group Inc, US, has announced an agreement with Texas A&M University-San Antonio (TAMU-SA). TAMU-SA has selected VitalSource Bookshelf as its format of choice for e-textbook delivery for students.

TAMU-SA, one of the latest institutions in The Texas A&M University System, has integrated directly with Ingram's VitalSource platform. It is the first 2 and 4-year higher education school to integrate with VitalSource's Blackboard Building Blocks application. This module built by VitalSource will allow TAMU-SA to seamlessly deliver e-textbooks to students through the Blackboard Learn platform.

Students in TAMU-SA's MBA programme as well as other select programmes at the University will gain full access to the VitalSource platform. Students that use VitalSource will enjoy flexibility in accessing their course material when they need it, whether they are at home, in the classroom, or on the go.

VitalSource is currently delivering tens of thousands of titles from leading textbook publishers, including Elsevier, Pearson, Cengage, Macmillan, John Wiley and Sons, McGraw-Hill, Wolters Kluwer, Oxford University Press, Taylor & Francis, and many others. It claims to be the only digital textbook platform providing synchronisation across download, online and mobile delivery methods.
