Information services provider Thomson Reuters, US, has announced that the BMJ Group, UK, has selected the former's ScholarOne Manuscripts as the peer review workflow management system for all of its journals. BMJ Group publishes 33 specialist titles apart from the British Medical Journal.
ScholarOne Manuscripts is projected as an innovative, web-based peer review and submission application for scholarly publishers. It seeks to automate the manuscript submission process, allowing for easy administration, editing and review, coupled with ScholarOne's security and support.
BMJ had sought a comprehensive and reliable solution that would provide the right tools for each journal and each editor. ScholarOne Manuscripts was seen to offer the ability to create customised templates that would help BMJ maximise its service to a large number of journals at one time.
