Academic and professional literature publisher Emerald Group Publishing Ltd., UK, has announced a special partnership with International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) at the 76th IFLA General Conference and Assembly in Gothenburg Sweden, from August 10-15, 2010. Under the deal, IFLA communities will receive more publishing opportunities and gain open access (OA) to articles written as a result of IFLA activities. Delegates are invited to visit Stand C302 to find out more details.
During the IFLA Press Conference on August 12, Eileen Breen, Senior Publisher at Emerald, will talk about the special partnership. Also, the IFLA Marketing Award, held in collaboration with Emerald, will be presented to the Indian School of Business' LRC, this year's winning entry.
Emerald will also celebrate the recent acquisition of the LIS membership organisation, ASLIB (The Association for Information Management), acquired by its parent company in April this year. Emerald representatives will be on hand to discuss how ASLIB membership services will continue to develop and grow. Other events that will take place during the Conference include 'Meet the Editor' sessions at the booth, providing an opportunity to talk with the editors of some of Emerald's leading LIS titles.
