Wiley-Blackwell, the STM and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons, Inc, US, has been selected by the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP) as publisher of The American Journal on Addictions. This partnership reinforces Wiley-Blackwell's already prominent position as publisher for more than 750 society partners.
Established in 1992, The American Journal on Addictions is the official journal of the AAAP. The journal features research on the etiology, prevention, identification, and treatment of substance abuse from experts in the addictions field. It covers a wide variety of topics ranging from codependence to genetics, epidemiology to dual diagnostics, etiology to neuroscience, and much more, in the form of special overview articles, clinical or basic research papers, clinical updates, and book reviews within the area of addictions.
Founded in 1985, AAAP is an international professional membership organisation. Membership consists of psychiatrists working with addiction, faculty at various academic institutions, medical students, residents and fellows, and related health professionals making a contribution to the field of addiction psychiatry.
