Academic publisher Maney Publishing, UK, has announced a new publishing partnership with the European Association of Archaeologists. Under the deal, Maney will publish the latter's official journal, European Journal of Archaeology, from 2012.
This further complements Maney Publishing's existing range of archaeology titles such as the Journal of Field Archaeology and Environmental Archaeology. Other recent additions to Maney's archaeology and heritage list include Studies in Conservation and English Heritage Historical Review.
The European Journal of Archaeology is published three times a year in print and online and the first issue under Maney's imprint, Volume 15.1 will be published in April 2012. Edited by Dr Robin Skeates (Department of Archaeology, Durham University), the journal promotes discussion and debate among archaeologists and covers a wide range of issues both academic and professional. These subjects include the role archaeology plays in society, how it should be organised in a changing Europe, and the ethics of archaeological practice. The title will be available online via ingentaconnect.com, and subscriptions include access to the online archive of the previous volumes.
