Hematology to be official journal of the International Society of Hematology -

Academic publisher Maney Publishing, UK, has announced that the journal Hematology has been formally adopted as the official journal of the International Society of Hematology (ISH), effective 2011. Founded in 1946, ISH is a non-profit organisation concerned with advancing scientific research as well as the practice of hematology at both clinical and laboratory levels.

This partnership will be recognised immediately as representatives from the three divisions of the society join the international editorial board. Members of the Society will receive the journal at a discounted rate as part of their subscription.

Hematology is an international journal, publishing original and review articles in the field of general hematology, including oncology, pathology, biology, clinical research and epidemiology. The journal aims to bridge the interests and practices of both those carrying out laboratory work and those whose main inclination is towards patient care. It provides a forum where the clinical aspects of any published material will be emphasised. Adrian Newland CBE, Professor of Hematology at Barts and The London School of Medicine, UK, is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal.
