Business information provider Thomson Reuters, US, and CareEvolution, Inc., a provider of secure health interoperability solutions, have agreed to expand their relationship to deliver a comprehensive suite of Health Information Exchange (HIE) capabilities for the public and private sectors. This expanded relationship builds upon an existing agreement forged in December 2009 to bring together CareEvolution's expertise in secure interoperability solutions that generate a virtual single patient care record and Thomson Reuters' extensive experience in healthcare data management and analytics.
The two organisations are now announcing the immediate commercial release of Thomson Reuters HIE Advantage. HIE Advantage is a configurable-off-the-shelf HIE technology stack embedded with advanced healthcare analytical and reporting capabilities.
Thomson Reuters is launching HIE Advantage at the ongoing Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society international conference (HIMSS 2011) in Orlando. CareEvolution, a Leadership Level participant in the Interoperability Showcase at HIMSS 2011, is showcasing advanced interoperability features, such as on-demand documents, that can be used to create a summary of summaries, linkage to immunisation registries using standards, and patient privacy and consent exchange using standards.
