Open access publisher BioMed Central, UK, has announced that the Journal of Nanobiotechnology has been accepted by Thomson Reuters for Impact Factor tracking. The journal is now tracked from Volume 9 (2011) and the high quality of the content is reflected by a predicted Impact Factor of 5.09.
Journal of Nanobiotechnology is an Open Access, peer-reviewed, online journal communicating scientific and technological advances in the fields of medicine and biology, with an emphasis in their interface with nanoscale sciences. The journal provides biomedical scientists and the international biotechnology business community with the latest developments in the growing field of Nanobiotechnology.
The journal, which claims to be the first fully open access journal in this burgeoning research area, will receive its first official Impact factor in June 2014.
