The California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) has announced that it will partner with AlphaMed Press to create an online open access research journal called Stem Cells Translational Medicine.
Stem Cells Translational Medicine will focus on translational aspects of stem cell research. The research journal would operate independently of CIRM and have a $1 million annual budget. CIRM would contribute $200,000 of that for each of three years.
Anthony Atala, director of the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine, will serve as the journal's Chief Editor.
