Information and point-of-care solutions provider Wolters Kluwer Health, US, and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) have announced an agreement to publish the Journal of Acute Care Physical Therapy, effective with the September 2013 issue. The journal is the official journal of the Acute Care Section of the APTA. Dr. Glenn Irion will continue to serve as the Editor-in-Chief.
The Wolters Kluwer Health - LWW publishing team will deliver a redesigned journal, a new multi-feature website, and improved manuscript submission and tracking using its Editorial Manager system to help extend the journal's distribution and reach to physical therapy specialists worldwide. The journal is published three times a year. Members of the APTA's Acute Care Section will receive the journal as a benefit of membership.
The Journal of Acute Care Physical Therapy is the fifth section APTA journal to be published by Wolters Kluwer Health –LWW. The others are Pediatric Physical Therapy, Journal of Neurologic Physical Therapy, Journal of Women's Health Physical Therapy, and Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy.
