The Sheridan Group, a print, publishing services and technology provider to publishers of scholarly journals, magazines, books and catalogues, has entered into an agreement to sell its long-run catalogue business based at The Dingley Press in Lisbon, Maine.
The Dingley Press will be sold to and privately held by Christopher Pierce, from whom Sheridan purchased Dingley in 2004. After the 2004 sale, Pierce remained with Sheridan, holding several leadership roles in its catalogue business until 2011 when he retired to take a role with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services. Earlier this year, Pierce approached Sheridan and expressed his desire to purchase the business.
In business since 1928, The Dingley Press provides catalogue printing, binding, co-mailing, and distribution services from its Lisbon, ME facility. As a full-service catalogue printer, serving medium to long run catalogue customers, Dingley brings value to its customers through its unique RIGHTSIZE catalogue format and sophisticated in-house co-mailing and distribution services.
