STM publisher Springer has announced that its Journal of Clinical Immunology has announced an affiliation with the Clinical Immunology Society (CIS), starting in 2011. The CIS was formerly affiliated with the journal Clinical Immunology.
The Journal of Clinical Immunology is an international journal that helps researchers and academic clinicians keep current on investigative basic immunology and diseases related to the immune system. The journal publishes articles on basic, translational and clinical studies in all aspects of immunology, including animal models of human diseases. The editor-in-chief is Dr. Thomas Fleisher and the deputy editor-in-chief is Dr. Kathleen Sullivan.
Established in 1986, the CIS is devoted to fostering developments in the science and practice of clinical immunology. Its primary objectives are to facilitate the interchange of ideas and information among physicians and other investigators and to promote research on the causes and mechanisms of diseases relating to the immune system. The society also encourages investigators and clinicians to share in their knowledge of immunologically active drugs and other interventions and fosters excellence in research and medical practice.
