Business information provider Thomson Reuters, US, has announced that North Philadelphia Health System has selected Thomson Reuters Pharmacy Xpert to help pharmacists reduce medication costs and improve efficiency and quality of care. Pharmacy Xpert is part of the Clinical Xpert suite of clinical workflow solutions.
Pharmacy Xpert combines three critical elements that enable pharmacists to manage medication therapy more efficiently - real-time clinical surveillance, comprehensive patient data, and integrated, patient-specific Micromedex reference content.
The system's single dashboard access will provide pharmacists at North Philadelphia Health System with the information they need in one place, lessening the time spent searching for answers and ultimately improving quality of care for patients. Using Pharmacy Xpert's real-time clinical surveillance capabilities, pharmacists will be able to identify opportunities to move patients to lower cost medications, thereby increasing savings for the health system.
