STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, has announced a new partnership with the Canadian Cardiovascular Society. Under the deal, Elsevier will publish the Society’s official journal, Canadian Journal of Cardiology, beginning January 2011. Dr. Stanley Nattel, Paul-David Chair in Cardiovascular Electrophysiology and Professor of Medicine at the University of Montreal and Director of the Electrophysiology Research Program at the Montreal Heart Institute Research Center, serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the journal. He will be supported by a renowned Editorial Board.
An established journal in the field of cardiovascular medicine, the Canadian Journal of Cardiology publishes peer-review material pertinent to specialists, general practitioners, and cardiovascular scientists and addresses all aspects of cardiovascular medicine. Coverage includes original reports of clinical and basic research relevant to cardiovascular medicine as well as editorials, review articles, case reports, and papers on health outcomes, policy research, ethics, medical history, and political issues affecting practice.
The journal is projected to serve as a vehicle for the international dissemination of new knowledge in cardiology and cardiovascular science, particularly serving as a major venue for the results of Canadian cardiovascular research and Society guidelines.
