Healthcare publisher Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW), part of Wolters Kluwer Health, US, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) have signed an agreement to renew their publishing partnership. Under the deal, LWW will continue to publish Anesthesiology, the official journal of the ASA.
Anesthesiology publishes peer-reviewed novel research that transforms clinical practice and fundamental understanding of the practice of perioperative, critical care, and pain medicine. The journal publishes twelve issues annually and is also available online to members and individual subscribers via www.anesthesiology.org and to institutional subscribers through Ovid.
ASA members and individual subscribers to Anesthesiology can now read important articles ‘on the go’ since all articles are available in an EPUB format, allowing readers to download selected articles of interest. Once downloaded, the article can be transferred and read on electronic reading devices, including the iPad. Another on-the-go option for Anesthesiology readers is the Journals@LWW iPhone app, which brings Anesthesiology right to an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad where they can quickly and easily browse through tables of contents, review abstracts across journals and specialties, and link to the full-text article. This application is free as a download from the App Store in iTunes.
The journal is also available to institutional subscribers via the OvidSP online information research platform from Ovid, LWW’s sister company within Wolters Kluwer Health. Hundreds of medical, educational, and healthcare institutions all over the world use OvidSP to offer their practitioners, students, and researchers quick, seamless access to thousands of premium electronic resources - including ebooks, ejournals, and bibliographic databases - that are critical for their research and their work.
