Dean Health Plan selects Wolters Kluwer Health’s Health Language to enhance enterprise management of medical terminologies and codes -

Wolters Kluwer Health, a global provider of information for healthcare professionals and students, has announced that Dean Health Plan (DHP) has selected its Health Language® solutions to centralize management of medical terminologies and code sets within its electronic systems. Integrating these tools will allow DHP to maintain a single source of truth regarding code versions, speeding integration and maintenance of content sets.

DHP will leverage the advanced Language Engine® to normalise data across disparate systems into standard terminologies such as CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10, ensuring more accurate translation for information exchange. LExScape® and LE Access Portal will provide mapping, modelling and management of standard code sets, grouping them in meaningful ways alongside local codes to best support DHP workflows and needs.

Based in Madison, WI, DHP is part of SSM Health Care’s integrated health system and covers more than 400,000 members across the south-central part of the state. The organisation consists of a network of more than 2,000 providers, 28 hospitals and 189 primary care sites in 20 counties.
