Three BioMed Central journals accepted for indexing by Thomson Reuters -

Open access publisher BioMed Central, UK, has announced that its journals - BMC Biophysics, BMC Ecology and BMC Endocrine Disorders - have recently been accepted for indexing by Thomson Reuters. The journals are on course to receive their first Impact Factors.

BMC Biophysics is an open access journal publishing original peer-reviewed research articles in experimental and theoretical aspects of biological processes from the microscopic to macroscopic level, including thermodynamics, structural stability and dynamics, molecular biophysics, signalling, novel biophysical methods and computational biophysics. It is less than a year since the journal re-launched on the BioMed Central platform. Since re-launch the journal has recruited a new Editorial Board consisting of world-renowned experts in the field.

BMC Ecology is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that considers articles on environmental, behavioral and population ecology as well as biodiversity of plants, animals and microbes. A recent blog post discusses one of the special thematic collections in BMC Ecology, which has likely contributed to the increased visibility and recognition of the journal.

BMC Endocrine Disorders is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that considers articles on all aspects of the prevention, diagnosis and management of endocrine disorders, as well as related molecular genetics, pathophysiology, and epidemiology. The journal has been tracked from publications in 2009 and is due to receive its first Impact Factor in 2012.
