Healthcare information provider Wolters Kluwer Health (WK Health), US, has partnered with HealthStream, a provider of learning and research solutions for the healthcare industry. Under the deal, WK Health will offer the Lippincott’s Professional Development Programs product suite to HealthStream’s customer base of healthcare organisations. The partnership was announced at HealthStream’s Customer Summit, March 6 – 9, 2012, which is being held at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Resort in Nashville.
Lippincott’s Professional Development Programs are projected as evidence-based, interactive learning tools that are designed to help clinical nurses improve nurse competency and meet compliance standards. Each programme contains a series of online courses, case studies, competency evaluations, and/or tutorials delivered in an interactive format.
The 21 educational and training programmes included in Lippincott’s Professional Development Programs will be offered through the HealthStream Learning Center, HealthStream’s learning platform. Lippincott’s Nursing Procedures and Skills and Lippincott’s Nursing Advisor are already offered by HealthStream to its customer base of approximately half of the acute-care hospitals in the US. With this latest agreement, HealthStream customers can utilise all of Lippincott’s Nursing Solutions - a point-of-care nursing workflow product suite - to optimise nursing performance, increase clinical knowledge, ensure staff competence, and improve patient outcomes.
