The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) has entered into an exclusive agreement with Germany-based academic publisher De Gruyter. Under the deal, De Gruyter will publish IUPAC’s academic journal, Pure and Applied Chemistry, and its news magazine, Chemistry International. Beginning in 2013, the journals will be published by De Gruyter in print and electronic form.
‘Pure and Applied Chemistry’ publishes monthly highly topical scientific articles at the forefront of all aspects of pure and applied chemistry. It is also the designated medium for publication of recommendations, technical reports on standardisation, recommended procedures, data compilations, and collaborative studies of IUPAC bodies.
Chemistry International publishes bi-monthly news about IUPAC, its chemists, its publications, its recommendations, its conferences and the work of its commissions and committees. The news magazine with a circulation of more than 6,000 scientists and institutions worldwide is edited by Fabienne Meyers, (USA).
