Healthcare information provider Wolters Kluwer Health, US, has announced that all of the online courses in Lippincott's Professional Development Programs are available for the first time for individual purchase to nurses looking to satisfy their Continuing Education (CE) requirements or to gain knowledge in a specialty area. Previously, these courses had only been sold through hospitals and other institutions, which use them as a collective learning tool to support professional development and CE accreditation.
More than 220 online courses — most with CE accreditation — are available in the curriculum. Available for purchase online, the eCourses cover a variety of specialty areas including Critical Care, Cardiovascular, Obstetrics, Neurology, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health, and a wide variety of compliance, patient safety, professional development, and disease state issues.
In addition to providing single-course sales online, Wolters Kluwer Health will continue to make Lippincott's Professional Development Programs available as group sales to hospitals and other healthcare institutions.
Lippincott's Professional Development Programs are part of Lippincott's Nursing Solutions, a comprehensive, integrated application suite of computer products currently helping more than 1,500 healthcare facilities. Provider institutions buy these products to support evidence-based practice, standardise care, enhance productivity, save time, and streamline clinical workflows, while education institutions purchase to help students learn, think critically, enhance skills, and become accustomed to solutions that they will find in the provider setting. Key products under its umbrella include Lippincott's Nursing Advisor; Lippincott's Professional Development Programs; and Lippincott's Nursing Procedures and Skills.
