Founded in 1961, HIMSS has more than 61,000 individual members plus about 640 corporate members in both the United States and international markets. Their annual meeting attracts 42,000 delegates, making it the second largest medical conference in the USA. HIMSS, headquartered in Chicago, serves the global health IT community with additional offices in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
The coming together of these two premier organisations will help to ensure that HIMSS continues to provide their members with the latest content in healthcare management, informatics, information management, and information systems.
