Semantic Web journal gets its first Impact Factor -

IOS Press, an independent international publisher of English-language scientific, technical and medical (STM) journals and books, has announced the first Impact Factor for its Semantic Web journal.

According to the 2015 Journal Citation Reports® (JCR) released by Thomson Reuters © 2016, the newcomer enters the ranking in the first quartile of Computer Science, Theory & Methods, with an Impact Factor of 1.786. Semantic Web ranks 18th out of 105 journals.

The Semantic Web journal, brings together researchers from various fields which share the vision and need for more effective and meaningful ways to share information across agents and services on the future internet and elsewhere. The journal welcomes contributions ranging from theoretical and foundational research over methods and tools to descriptions of concrete ontologies and applications in all areas.
