Digital Science portfolio company ÜberResearch has announced the integration of Altmetric badges into their Dimensions platform, a global grants database. Dimensions provides funders and institutions a comprehensive view of the research funding landscape, helping them make informed and data-driven strategic decisions. This integration will offer quantitative and qualitative attention insights, adding new context to support strategic decision-making.
Altmetric badges and attention score will now appear in publication search results within Dimensions. For the first time, users on the platform will get an immediate visual indicator of the type and volume of online attention surrounding individual research publications.
For those on the platform, all that needs to be done is to click on the colourful badges where full details of the online attention research items have been received from sources like: the mainstream media, social and scholarly networks, blogs and Wikipedia, as well as a record of where studies have influenced public policy or been cited amongst academics.
The Altmetric badges, which are now live on the Dimensions platform, are available to Dimensions customers who also subscribe to the Altmetric Explorer for Institutions platform.
