Figshare partners with The Royal Society to increase data discoverability -

Online digital repository Figshare has announced a new partnership with Royal Society Publishing.

The Royal Society is a self-governing Fellowship of many of the world's most distinguished scientists drawn from all areas of science, engineering, and medicine. The Royal Society publishes high quality, peer-reviewed journals. Nine of their journals cover the full breadth of the biological, physical and cross-disciplinary sciences and Notes and Records is dedicated to the history of science. They also publish Biographical Memoirs, an annual compilation of individual memoirs, which celebrates the lives and scientific achievements of Fellows of the Royal Society.

As a result of the new partnership, Figshare has created a portal where research outputs published across 11 Royal Society journals will be aggregated under one portal. This will be showcased under one URL https://rs.figshare.com/ and each journal will have their own sub-portal. The aim of the new portal is to increase the discoverability of their data and give them a wider oversight of what is referenced in their journals.
