The Royal Society of Chemistry has announced that its journals have proven their outstanding excellence once again, with the publication of the latest Impact Factors (IF) report from Thomson Reuters. Six out of the top 20 multidisciplinary chemistry journals are published by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Two of the Society's journals came top in their categories: Energy & Environmental Science remains the top environmental sciences journal with an impact factor of 15.490 and Natural Product Reports came out on top in the medicinal chemistry category with an impact factor of 10.715.
The report also shows that three of the Society's journals have increased their impact factors by more than 20 percent. These include: Chemical Society Reviews (up 22 per cent to 30.425); Catalysis Science & Technology (up 27 per cent to 4.760); and Energy & Environmental Science (up 33 per cent to 15.490).
In total, a third of the Royal Society of Chemistry's journals have an impact factor above 5.000 and three quarters of them are in the top 25 percent of their ISI categories.
