Ingram Content Group Inc. is expanding its print-on-demand (POD) and distribution reach to Poland through a Lightning Source Inc. Global Connect alliance with Azymut, a media publishing and distribution group in Poland.
Ingram's Global Connect program grows the reach of physical content for publishers beyond Ingram's current channels to new markets through a network of book manufacturers and distributors with established local retail relationships. Publishers that work with Ingram gain access to new sales channels with zero risk and without the worry of inventory in market, import and customs issues, and shipping and warehousing costs.
Ingram's relationship with Azymut gives publishers access to high-quality, POD book manufacturing, as well as access to Azymut's established relationships with more than 2,700 retail points of sale in Poland, including online, chain and independent booksellers and distributors.
Books printed at Ingram Global Connect locations adhere to the same specifications and quality standards in place at Ingram Lightning Source facilities worldwide. Ingram maintains file integrity and security as well as reporting and payment remittance to publishers.
Ingram's new Global Connect location in Poland joins other locations in Russia, Germany and Brazil.
