The Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospital first in North West to introduce UpToDate Anywhere -

Healthcare information provider Wolters Kluwer has announced that The Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust is the first healthcare organization in the North of England to introduce UpToDate Anywhere, providing clinicians with mobile access to the acclaimed evidence-based clinical decision support resource, UpToDate.

The Trust is one of the largest in the North of England, serving more than 465,000 people in Liverpool. It delivers acute care services from two sites: Royal Liverpool University Hospital and Broadgreen Hospital, with a new hospital expected to be completed in 2017. With over 40 wards and more than 750 beds the Trust is a well-respected and innovative center for patient care. The cancer and stroke services are among the best in the country, allowing students from both the University of Liverpool and John Moores University to learn in one of the best environments in the UK.

Ranked first among "The best medical apps for your new iPhone" by iMedicalApps and rated as one of "The Best Apps in Publishing" by EContent Magazine, UpToDate is available in iOS, Android™ and Windows 8 mobile platforms, as well as via any mobile internet browser. Nearly 300,000 clinicians can now access the UpToDate mobile app worldwide.

Throughout the United Kingdom, hospital trusts with a strategic objective to enhance workflow integration can also opt to embed UpToDate in electronic patient record systems (EPR) such as Allscripts, Cambio, Cerner, CSC, InterSystems, McKessson, MEDITECH and others by using UpToDate Anywhere. This allows users to search UpToDate while using the EPR – in fewer clicks and without additional windows or log-ins.
