American College of Physicians and EBSCO Health partnership to give 141,000 ACP members access to DynaMed PlusTM -

The American College of Physicians (ACP) has announced a partnership with EBSCO Health. This initiative will give 141,000 ACP members complimentary access to DynaMed Plus™, a new cross-platform evidence-based clinical decision support tool. ACP is contributing expertise, content, and multimedia to DynaMed Plus.

DynaMed Plus provides clinicians with the ideal blend of evidence and expertise to help them determine optimal patient care paths. With DynaMed Plus, ACP members and other clinicians can quickly and seamlessly find evidence-based answers to make treatment decisions using any device from any location.

DynaMed Plus is a significant enhancement over other tools currently on the market and includes the most frequently updated evidence-based content. DynaMed Plus content is supplemented with full colour images, is optimised for the way a physician works and provides extremely fast time-to-answer. Additionally, DynaMed Plus gives users thorough and transparent insights into the strength of the evidence-based data for how recommendations are made.

Dr. Robert Centor, immediate past chair of ACP's Board of Regents, and ACP Regent Dr. Jack Ende will join the DynaMed Executive Leadership Board. They will join Dr. Amir Qaseem, ACP's director of clinical policy, who is a current board member. ACP will also provide a deputy editor to be a part of the editorial team overseeing internal medicine topics for DynaMed Plus.

Some content from ACP's current clinical reference tool, Smart Medicine, such as tables, images, and graphics, will be included in DynaMed Plus. Individual paid Smart Medicine subscribers who wish to convert to DynaMed Plus may do so beginning January 1, 2016, when Smart Medicine will be discontinued.
