Carnegie Mellon University Libraries and World Bank Group Publications join NFAIS -

The National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAIS™), a global, nonprofit membership organisation serving the information community, has announced that Carnegie Mellon University Libraries and World Bank Group Publications have joined NFAIS as new members.

The CMU Libraries are comprised of the Roy A. Hunt Library, containing more than 600,000 volumes; the Roger Sorrells Engineering & Science Library; the Mellon Institute Library, which serves the Departments of Chemistry and Biological Sciences; and the Posner Center, which features collections of rare and historic books and art.

The CMU Libraries system also includes the Qatar Library serving the CMU Qatar campus, and the CMU Software and Engineering Institute's Digital Library. Keith G. Webster serves as the Dean of Libraries at Carnegie Mellon University.

The World Bank Group Publications, which publishes and disseminates a large selection of research and knowledge products, produces authoritative reports such as the World Development Report and Doing Business that feature research from some of the top development economists and practitioners.

In support of the World Bank Group Publications' mission, its publications cover a broad range of economic and social issues, including development policy, finance, health, education, environment, trade, poverty, climate change, and globalization. In addition to print resources, World Bank Group online resources offer access to the most reliable research on economic and social development to millions of users around the world.
