EBSCO Information Services partners with MOTOR Information Systems to offer AutoMate -

EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) and MOTOR Information Systems (MOTOR), the world's premier supplier of automotive data for over 100 years, have announced a partnership to offer AutoMate™, a reference database that provides accurate, authoritative and up-to-date auto service and repair information. Powered by the automotive experts at MOTOR, AutoMate delivers trusted, reliable information on more than 38,000 domestic and imported cars, light trucks, vans and SUVs, making it a valuable resource for vehicle owners, auto service companies and auto enthusiasts.

AutoMate features content from the original equipment manufacturers including step-by-step repair procedures with supporting images, maintenance schedules, estimated labor times, technical service bulletins, specifications and diagnostic trouble codes so users can accurately diagnose, repair and maintain their vehicle. Millions of high-quality images can be magnified and printed. Images include component location diagrams and comprehensive wiring diagrams.

To help users validate the cost of repairs and accurately identify manufacturer parts, AutoMate also supplies diagrams and pricing for thousands of the most commonly replaced parts, including manufacturer-suggested retail price. Every major auto manufacturer is represented in the database and content is categorised by year, make, model, sub-model and engine, leading to accurate, vehicle-specific results. Searching is easy with AutoMate's user-friendly navigation and the content is continually updated to ensure users have the most current information.

AutoMate is the latest addition to EBSCO’s Do-It-Yourself (DIY) resources. Other DIY resources include Home Improvement Reference Center™, Small Engine Repair Reference Center™, Small Business Reference Center™ and Hobbies and Crafts Reference Center™.
