ProQuest has announced a partnership with Rittenhouse Book Distributors so libraries can order ebooks from the R2 Digital platform via the OASIS system. This partnership brings the number of partner platforms to join OASIS over the past year to eight.
Offering over 5,700 ebook titles, the R2 Digital Library is an ebook platform for health science collections and features a comprehensive selection of medical, nursing and allied health content presented through a clean and intuitive interface.
Through the OASIS search, selection and acquisition system, users enjoy access to one of the broadest curated print and ebook title databases in the industry. Plus, their workflows are simplified through powerful search, profiling, collection management and reporting tools. OASIS users connect to a range of ebook platforms – aggregator platforms such as Ebook Central, EBL, ebrary, MyiLibrary, EBSCO. A growing list of partner platforms includes UPSO, Wiley Online Library, Info-Sci, Taylor & Francis, CRCnetBase, De Gruyter and now R2 Digital Library.
ProQuest has significantly enriched the OASIS platform to simplify workflows and support faster and better collection development. These include additions of publisher ebook platforms and value-add features such as a DDA MARC removal service, DDA add button, new title awards profile, collections support, WorldCat links and faster ebook order processing.
