Academic publisher SAGE Publishing has announced the purchase of the full portfolio of journals from international, independent STM publisher, Wichtig. The acquisition marks a significant milestone in SAGE's science, technology and medical (STM) publishing program and the development of its offerings across clinical medicine and bioengineering.
Wichtig Publishing was established in Milan, Italy, by the nephrologist Diego Brancaccio over 40 years ago, with an ambition to publish niche specialty medical journals and books. The publishing portfolio covers topics such as nephrology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, and biomaterials.
