Taylor & Francis and the Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU) renew agreement -

Academic publisher Taylor & Francis and the Association of Universities in the Netherlands (VSNU) have renewed their agreement granting open-access publication to Dutch universities for three years.

As a result, Dutch corresponding authors will be entitled to publish their articles open access at no cost to themselves in 2,367 Taylor & Francis journal titles until 2020. In addition, Dutch universities will have ready access to 1,530 titles.

The details of the agreement are public (http://openaccess.nl/nl/uitgever/taylor-francis). According to Tim van der Hagen, negotiator on behalf of the VSNU and rector/chair of the executive board of Delft University of Technology, the aim of these negotiations was for the details of the contract to be made public as laid down in the recently signed sector agreement on university education. A list of journal titles that allow open-access publishing with a 100% discount is available at http://library.wur.nl/WebQuery/jbrowser?deal/name=tfopenselect.
