IOS Press has announced an Impact Factor increase of 18.23% across its 29 journals currently covered in the 2017 Journal Citation Reports® (JCR) released by Clarivate Analytics last week. Journals in biomedicine and rehabilitation medicine achieved the most significant gains.
Particularly noteworthy is the Journal of Vestibular Research, the official journal of the Bárány Society, with a 218% increase from 0.900 to 2.865. This has raised its ranking from the fourth to the first quartile in Otorhinolaryngology (now #4 out of 41 journals).
The Journal of Berry Research earned its first Impact Factor: 2.175. This impressive initial score already places it in the second quartile in Plant Sciences (#68 out of 222 journals).
IOS Press's neuro journals portfolio continues to perform well, led by the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease with a current Impact Factor of 3.476. NeuroRehabilitation has moved up to the second quartile of Rehabilitation journals with a 19% increase in its Impact Factor (1.779).
Other journals that have achieved strong Impact Factor growth include: ICGA Journal: The Journal of the Computer Games Community (106% increase); Isokinetics and Exercise Science (136% increase); and Journal of X-Ray Science and Technology (98% increase).
